I kissed Jim goodbye and he headed out the door. A few minutes later, he opened the door and handed me an envelope. This was on the truck, he said. Not waiting to see what it was, he smiled and left. I opened the envelope and pulled out a card.
On the front of the card was a quote: He is a God who is kind and promises to meet us in our need no matter how large or small -Marilyn Meberg
On the inside, the scripture: My God will use His wonderful riches in Christ Jesus to give you everything you need. -Philippians 4:19
Also the message: Asking God to wrap you in kindness today, reminding you how near He is to all that’s important to you. With thoughts and prayers.
Also inside…money.
What was not in the card: a signature.
As Jim and I prepare to leave to Ann Arbor, I am once again touched by the body of Christ, reaching out to us in love. God is so good. We have been wrapped in his grace and every need we have has been met. And yet…blessings come.
I can’t count the number of blessings we have received over this past year. I might just as well sit on a beach and count grains of sand. All I know is that my heart is very full.
Our thanks to the giver of this gift, along with countless others that we have received. We praise God for you and ask him to bless you for your thoughtfulness.
We have received our daily bread…and so much more. God bless!
Each one of us should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. -I Peter 4:10
