It’s been such a long time…let’s see if I remember how to blog.
It took me 5 minutes to log on…lol…but I’m finally here.
I think of “all things internet”, I’ve missed this the most. I write at home…but it’s not like blogging. I’m not sure if I can explain why…maybe, I don’t need to.
Needless to say, it is great to be here and I have missed it (and all of you).
Today I heard a song that took be back 21 years. Phil Collins, “We’ve got a groovy kinda love.”
It was the song that Jim and I danced to at our wedding.
Why?
I’m not sure why I chose it. I like Phil Collins. It is a good song. But it wasn’t really one of my favorites at the time. Actually, it was my mom and stepdad’s song.
But now…21 years later…I think I get it. Maybe because I’m older. Maybe because of all the things that Jim and I have gone through together. Maybe both.
Jim once said to me, “You are not the woman I married…and that’s a good thing!” He’s right. We both have changed, grown, matured…we aren’t the same people. That’s what makes our marriage so strong. We have learned from each other and grown together in Christ. Our love now is multi-dimensional. I love Jim as my husband, the boys’ father, my best friend…but I also love him as a person, as a fellow Christian.
I’m not sure why I decided to write this today. All I know is, Phil Collins is right.
Sonia – I’m glad to see you’re blog again. I’ve missed you. Hope you all are doing well!
