A boy named Bucky…

Thousands of years ago, cats were revered as gods. Cats have never forgotten this. ~~Anonymous

I’m an animal lover. Most of them anyway. I don’t care for mice. But other than that, I’m pretty much a fan of most critters. I love a big, furry dog…one that you can lay with under a tree and use as a pillow. I love horses and think that seeing them in the wild must be the most beautiful thing in the world. I love cows and their soft brown eyes…birds with their colors and songs…but my favorite animal has to be my boy, my cat, Bucky.

I’ve written about him before…my 14 year old, 16 pound, best buddy. Bucky is my shadow. He’s the one who makes sure I’m up on time…reminds me when it’s time for dad to come home…and checks on Grandma and Grandpa, especially at game time. (St Louis Cardinals, of course)

But there is one thing that Bucky does that’s extra special to me. He absolutely refuses to leave me when I have a migraine. How he knows, I’m not sure. But when I’m down, Bucky is my constant companion.

Do you gave a pet that’s extra special to you? Tell me about him/her. I thank God for all the special friends…past and present…that He has blessed me with. But especially my boy, Bucky.

  1. Great post! We have loved Bucky too! We have our 2 cats that entertain us daily. Don’t know what we would do without them! And we would drive shy 200 miles to borrow a BB Gun to protect them! Thanks! 🙂

  3. We didn’t have George nearly long enough, but he was very special to Josh and me. George had a habit of crawling into your lap and taking a nap, so whether you were ready or not – you were going to take a break! A little over a year ago, we got two new friends from the Humane Society and Reuben and Levi are also becoming special to us in their own way!
