Time to update the “about me page”. This year, I turn fifty and am finally back to writing! I’m anxious to see where God leads me and I look forward to your comments and appreciate your encouragement.
Jim and I are happy on our little farm and are still blessed to have Grandma and Grandpa (at 87 & 93) still with us! We also have our tomcat, Becky, who will be 15 years old this spring.
We have two grandsons, David and Jackson, from our son Derek and our son, Craig and his wife, Karrie Anne, are teachers and doing well. Our family is such a blessing to us, as are our friends.
I appreciate comments from my readers and pray that God will use this blog as He sees fit to His glory. God bless!

I just finished catching up on your blog and drying my eyes. I appreciate so much your sharing the gift of words that God has given you as well as the understanding that we can be thankful and give Him glory wherever we are. I love the thought you shared about longing to be with Him and yet knowing that He longs for that even more. I don’t want to think about the frogs–how easy it is to see Pharoah’s wrong in waiting until tomorrow, but you showed that we all have our own “frogs”. You guys be careful on your trip to MI–you’re in my prayers. And if you still want to send me your book to read/review/help edit/whatever I’d still love to see it.

Girl I always knew you were talented. You were either playing the piano or making food from scratch with your mother. I always felt at home with you and your family more so than I did with my own family. God has Blessed you in so many ways. I wish I had an ounce of the goodness that you have. Out of all of us girls that hung around together when we were little. You were the one that was more grounded. Love You Sis. One of these days we will have to get together and tell stories on each other. HA! HA! Take care and be safe and don’t overdo it. I’m only a phone call away if you ever need me for anything.

So glad to have found your blog. I felt an instant connection with you that 1st night at RCIA. Your gesture to move your book so that I could read it, then offer to leave it with me when you were forced to leave with a migraine meant the world to me….kind, simple, loving. I feel an even more powerful connection through your comforting & challenging words. How very appropriate that my introduction to your blog would be with a description of your walk around the lake. Walks, nature, & quiet times with Tim are sanctuaries for me as well. Reading your thoughts will become just as helpful & calming I’m sure.
